Wow, What an election cycle we are in. We have had a whirlwind of activity and elections and now we are down to the Special Election. The election Tuesday April 22nd is to fill out the rest of the year for former Congressman Roger Wicker. The election and run-off we just came through were only party elections and determined who will represent the Republican and Democratic parties in November. So next week we elect a temporary Congressman and then in November we elect our 1st District congressman that will represent us for the next two years.
It is no secret to y'all who I supported in the Republican Run-off and it is always hard to loose an election but now we have to step back and compare the candidates again. On one side we have the Democrat Travis Childers. Mr. Childers claims to be a "Conservative" Democrat. It does not take long to see through that shallow facade. When you are funded heavily by Joey Langston (he is a lawyer involved with bribing judges for favorable rulings with Dickie Scruggs) GAVE MONEY TO JOHN KERRY FOR PRESIDENT, and cheered for and supported BILL CLINTON that just seems like he is being less than honest!!! So is Childers definition of a "Conservative" Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, etc.??? Mr. Childers that is not what we as Mississippians call Conservative...that Sir is a Washington style LIBERAL!!! If Childers is such a conservative then why would he run as a Democrat?? Mississippi does not need another Liberal Congressman we already have Bennie Thompson and that is enough thank you very much. We need to say no to the Liberals by saying NO to Liberal Travis Childers.
In the Republican corner we have Greg Davis. Greg is the current Mayor of Southaven and has served in the Mississippi Legislature. He is a husband and father of three children. Greg Davis has shown to be a tax payers friend by securing the first local property tax rebate in Mississippi History. Greg Davis helped create over 10,000 jobs in Mississippi. Greg Davis sponsored Mississippi's ban on partial-birth abortion. Greg Davis has defended our 2nd amendment rights and will continue to do so. Greg Davis did not give money to John Kerry and is not a big fan of Bill Clinton. Greg Davis is not supporting Barack Hussein Obama or Hillary Clinton for President. Greg Davis is not a Liberal!! Greg Davis is a Conservative and his record shows that.
I want to encourage you to go to the polls and vote for Greg Davis on Tuesday April 22nd. We can not afford to send Liberal Travis Childers to Washington to help push the agenda of Barack Hussein Obama and Nancy Pelosi. Travis Childers wants to say he is Conservative but I am convinced that he does not know what a true Conservative is or he is not being honest with us.
